Shipment Box

Corrugated Cardboard Why it matters

Wet or greasy cardboard (like a used pizza box) cannot be recycled because the oil ruins the pulp mixture. Your shipment box must be clean.

Instructions
  • Peel the Tape: Remove the shipping label and any plastic tape. These are contaminants.
  • Flatten It: Break the box down completely flat. This saves space in the truck and prevents bin overflow.
  • Check Condition: Ensure the box is dry. If it sat in the rain, it may need to go in the trash.

Product Box

Virgin Kraft Paper Material Details

This box is made from unbleached virgin fibers. We do not use plastic laminates or shiny coatings, making it 100% biodegradable.

Two Ways to Recycle
  • Option A (Standard): Flatten the box and place it in your regular paper recycling bin.
  • Option B (Gardener): Shred the box into small strips. Add it to your home compost bin as "brown matter" to balance nitrogen.

Beeswax Insert

This insert is 100% Beeswax infused with the La Lacune signature scent. Follow this recipe to turn it into a candle.

Prep The Vessel

Find a small heat-safe glass or ceramic cup. Place the supplied cotton wick in the exact center.
Pro Tip: Use a tiny drop of melted wax to "glue" the metal tab of the wick to the bottom so it doesn't float.

Melt The Wax

Break the insert into small chunks. Melt gently using a double-boiler (recommended for safety) or in the microwave using short 30-second bursts. Stir with a disposable wooden stick.

Pour & Cure

Pour the liquid wax slowly into your vessel. Let it cool and cure for at least 24 hours. Important: Trim the wick to 1/4 inch (5mm) before lighting to prevent smoking.

⚠️ Caution: Wax gets extremely hot. Use oven mitts. Never leave melting wax unattended.

Perfume Bottle

Glass & Mixed Materials The Problem

Perfume pumps contain tiny metal springs and plastic tubes. These cannot be recycled in the glass furnace. You must separate them.

Action Plan
  • Step 1 (Force): Unscrew the cap if possible. If crimped, use pliers to forcefully rip the metal spray nozzle off the bottle. Be careful not to chip the glass.
  • Step 2 (The Glass): Rinse the glass body with warm water and place in Glass Recycling.
  • Step 3 (The Pump): Place the spray mechanism (tube and cap) in General Waste.

The Cap

Natural Cork Nature's Material

Cork is the bark of the Cork Oak tree. It is harvested without harming the tree, making it highly renewable.

Disposal Options
  • Compost: Cork will biodegrade naturally in your home compost or organic waste bin.
  • Reuse: Corks are excellent for household hacks (leveling furniture, pin cushions, or fire starters).

Boîte d'Expédition

Carton Ondulé Pourquoi c'est important

Le carton mouillé ou gras (comme une boîte à pizza usagée) ne peut pas être recyclé car l'huile ruine la pâte à papier. Votre boîte doit être propre.

Instructions
  • Retirez le scotch : Enlevez l'étiquette d'expédition et tout ruban adhésif plastique. Ce sont des contaminants.
  • Aplatissez : Écrasez complètement la boîte pour gagner de la place dans le camion et votre bac.
  • Gardez au sec : Assurez-vous que la boîte est sèche avant de la jeter.

Boîte du Produit

Papier Kraft Vierge Détails du Matériau

Cette boîte est faite de fibres vierges non blanchies. Nous n'utilisons pas de stratifiés plastiques, ce qui la rend 100% biodégradable.

Deux façons de recycler
  • Option A (Standard) : Aplatissez la boîte et mettez-la dans votre bac de recyclage papier habituel.
  • Option B (Jardinier) : Déchirez la boîte en petits morceaux. Ajoutez-la à votre compost comme "matière brune" pour équilibrer l'azote.

Insert Cire d'Abeille

Projet Upcycling

Cet insert est 100% Cire d'Abeille infusé du parfum signature La Lacune. Suivez cette recette pour en faire une bougie.

Préparer le Récipient

Trouvez un petit verre ou une céramique résistant à la chaleur. Placez la mèche fournie exactement au centre.
Astuce Pro : Utilisez une goutte de cire fondue pour "coller" le socle métallique de la mèche au fond.

Fondre la Cire

Cassez l'insert en morceaux. Faites fondre doucement au bain-marie (recommandé pour la sécurité) ou au micro-ondes par intervalles de 30 secondes. Remuez avec un bâtonnet.

Verser & Durcir

Versez doucement la cire liquide dans votre récipient. Laissez refroidir au moins 24h. Important : Coupez la mèche à 5mm avant d'allumer pour éviter la fumée.

⚠️ Attention : La cire devient très chaude. Utilisez des gants. Ne laissez jamais fondre sans surveillance.

Flacon de Parfum

Verre & Matériaux Mixtes Le Problème

Les pompes de parfum contiennent de petits ressorts en métal et des tubes en plastique. Ces éléments ne peuvent pas être recyclés avec le verre. Vous devez les séparer.

Plan d'Action
  • Étape 1 (Force) : Dévissez si possible. Sinon, utilisez une pince pour arracher de force le vaporisateur métallique. Attention à ne pas briser le verre.
  • Étape 2 (Le Verre) : Rincez le flacon à l'eau tiède et mettez-le au Recyclage Verre.
  • Étape 3 (La Pompe) : Jetez le mécanisme complet dans les Déchets Ménagers.

Le Bouchon

Liège Naturel Matériau Naturel

Le liège est l'écorce du Chêne-Liège. Il est récolté sans abattre l'arbre, ce qui en fait une ressource hautement renouvelable.

Options de fin de vie
  • Compost : Le liège se biodégrade naturellement dans votre compost ou bac organique.
  • Réutilisation : Idéal pour le bricolage (caler des meubles, épingler des notes, allume-feu).
